Companies demonstrating an outstanding commitment to strengthening business relationships with their supply chain were recognised by Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) at its flagship business development event on March 19 at Aberdeen’s P&J Live venue.

OEUK presented the Supply Chain Principles awards at Share Fair hosting the event with the support of the North Sea Transition Authority and Principal Sponsor Aurora Energy Services and supporting sponsorship from Well-Safe Solutions. Around 600 people participated in the annual business development event, which illuminates business opportunities for the energy supply chain. It connects suppliers with key buyers enabling them to access new opportunities for working collaboratively on future projects.

The Supply Chain Principles awards are based on feedback from the industry’s biennial ‘Working as One’ survey and recognise client companies that demonstrate a drive to improve good procurement practice. Over 400 supply chain companies rated the cooperative behaviours of their clients against ten Principles which include fair allocation of risk and reward, prompt payment of invoices and clear visibility of future work.

Katy Heidenreich, OEUK’s supply chain and people director, said: 'More companies than ever have earned gold awards, with 15 purchasing companies achieving that goal. These include oil and gas operators, wind developers, and major contractors—recognised for excellent performance in priority areas, such as meaningful pre-tender engagement, which creates conditions for stronger long-term partnerships. The survey revealed more companies are using LOGIC Standard Contracts as the main basis for their commercial relationships, seeing the benefit of these industry-standard model agreements in simplifying negotiations and building greater consistency across the North Sea basin.'

Andy Brooks, NSTA Director of New Ventures, who presented the awards, said: 'This celebration of collaborative behaviour was the perfect accompaniment to a productive day of exchanging knowledge and networking at Share Fair 2026. It is heartening that the number of companies deemed worthy of a gold award by hundreds of suppliers has trebled in the past three years. I urge industry to keep up the good work and help the supply chain to thrive.'

This year the highest performing companies comprise operator, developer and major contractors. The Gold award winners are Adura Energy, Anasuria Operating Company, Centrica Energy Storage, Dana Petroleum, Flotation Energy, Harbour Energy, INEOS Energy, Ithaca Energy UK, Katoni Engineering, NEO Energy, Serica Energy, Spirit Energy, TAQA Bratani, THREE60 Energy and TotalEnergies.

Companies who have achieved Silver awards in 2026 are CNOOC International, Petrofac, bp, EXCEED and Peterson UK with Perenco UK, Wood and SLB earning a Bronze Supply Chain Principles award.

OEUK is using the survey results to highlight priority areas for improvement, building on previous good practice publications, including guidance on Procure to Pay (P2P) and the Tender Process.
The key findings from the survey will be set out in the forthcoming 2026 Supply Chain Report.
