Offshore Energies will host its 2024 Share Fair in March to showcase upcoming business opportunities to the energy supply chain. The event will enable operators and major contractors to increase their awareness of the expertise, innovative products and specialised services offered by suppliers across the UK.

Early bird discount rates are available for delegates who book a place before December 31 at the flagship business development event, which takes place at Aberdeen’s P&J Live on March 20.

Organised with the support of the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA), Share Fair focuses on delivering value to participants whether buyer or supplier. It encourages early engagement on ways to work collaboratively across the offshore energy spectrum including oil and gas, offshore wind, carbon capture and storage. Supply chain companies and technology innovators attending Share Fair gain access to market intelligence on forthcoming activity plus opportunities to meet key decision-makers at the event’s popular one-to-one meetings.

Katy Heidenreich, OEUK’s Supply Chain and People Director, said:

'The wider offshore energy sector, including oil and gas operators and wind developers, could invest up to £200bn on UK energy production and technology projects in the remainder of this decade to help reach the targets set out by the government’s British Energy Security strategy. Over £90bn of that could go to UK supply chain companies if these targets are met. Share Fair gives companies the chance to showcase their capabilities to potential clients and enables us to promote the supply chain-led innovation we need for a successful energy transition.'

Bill Cattanach, NSTA Head of Supply Chain, said:

'As the transition to net zero accelerates, the offshore project pipeline can be expected to grow, heightening demand for the supply chain’s services. However, if suppliers are to invest in additional skills, technologies and capacity with confidence, they need to be given greater visibility and certainty of upcoming contracting opportunities. That’s why Share Fair 2024 is such an important and unmissable event. With hundreds of industry professionals set to gather under one roof, it is the ideal platform for sharing valuable information.

The Share Fair format comprises presentations from operators and major energy investors on future projects, opportunities to book one- to-one meetings with key decision makers regarding procurement of goods and services plus extensive opportunities for suppliers to book exhibition space.'

Share Fair takes place in Aberdeen’s P&J Live on March 20 and more information about early bird bookings is available on the website here .
