ONE-Dyas has signed an agreement with Borr Drilling for a minimum of 150 days, with 15 March 2024 as commencement date, for drilling and decommissioning activities. The contract covers activities in the Dutch and UK continental shelf.
The rig employs a Selective Catalytic Reduction system and other technologies said to reduce emissions of nitrogen and carbon emissions from its operations by up to 95%.
ONE-Dyas and Borr Drilling are also jointly investing in the modification of the drilling rig. Chris de Ruyter van Steveninck, CEO of ONE-Dyas: 'The goal is to use electricity from German wind farm Riffgat and eliminate the discharge of drilling cuttings, leading to drilling operations that are as close to zero emissions as possible. We appreciate the joint effort to go the extra mile in improving our operations, to emphasize our role in the energy transition.'
