Sevan SSP has announced that the Penguins FPSO was installed at the Penguins field North East of Shetland July 22nd, in the UK North Sea at 165 m water depth.
Throughout the entire project, Sevan SSP has assisted Shell UK with design, preparations and execution of the FPSO transport and installation.
The Penguins FPSO is a Sevan 400 design with a process capacity of 45 kbbld and with a storage capacity of 400 kbbls. The FPSO has been contracted by Fluor and constructed in China, with completion and commissioning at Aibel’s yard in Haugesund, Norway, before handed over to Penguins field operator Shell UK.
License partners at the Penguins field are Shell (50%) and NEO Energy (50%).
