Uniper and Innova have announced the commencement of Moreton Morrell solar farm.
The site, based in Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire, has been developed with the potential to generate 29.9MWp of renewable energy*. It was granted planning permission by Stratford-on-Avon District Council in 2025 following the submission of plans by Innova.
Uniper, as its sole owner, could start the construction process as early as 2027 following a financial investment decision. The site was awarded a Contract for Difference (CfD) in Allocation Round 7 (AR7) providing long-term contracted inflation-linked cashflows.
Once energised, Moreton Morrell solar farm is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power approximately 12,330 UK homes annually.
*Household energy calculation is based on Ofgem's Typical Domestic Consumption Value (TDCV) for electricity of 2,700 kWh per household per year.
