- Vattenfall IDNO has partnered with Independent Connections Provider, econetiQ, to deliver an electrical connection for The Somerset Toiletry Co.
- This collaboration will connect their new EV charging points and on-site café to the grid, reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
- The Somerset Toiletry Co., an award-winning soap producer located in the heart of the Somerset countryside, is renowned for its high-quality products and commitment to sustainability.

The project will provide a new 11 kV point of connection, supplying power at 400 Volts for The Somerset Toiletry Co.’s EV chargers at their site on Upper Bristol Road in Clutton, Bristol. They design, formulate and sell bath and body products, manufacture soap and have a public gift shop and café at the site.
This enhanced infrastructure will provide the necessary power for The Somerset Toiletry Co.’s planned expansion and electrification efforts, enabling the company to reduce its carbon footprint and improve energy efficiency.
The project will feature 2 x 200 kW dual chargers, creating four EV parking bays, with PoGo as the charge point operator. The 1MW sub-station will supply the EV chargers, cafe's expansion and future proof for a planned convenience store.
Vattenfall IDNO will adopt the new grid connection infrastructure, which will be built by econetiQ, including the substation and cables.
