Brazil: Petrobras' P-80 and P-82 platforms, which will operate in Búzios, are christened at a shipyard in Singapore
Petrobras and Seatrium held a christening and sailaway ceremony for the P-80 and P-82 offshore platforms this Thursday (August 27th) at the Tuas Boulevard Yard shipyard in Singapore. The units will operate in the Búzios field, in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, the largest field in reserves and production in Brazil. -

Prosafe SE: Second-quarter results and first half report 2026
Prosafe SE reported EBITDA of USD 9.7 million (USD 3.1 million) for the second quarter and USD 24.5 million (USD 7.7 million) for the first half of the year. Four of the company’s five vessels generated revenue in the second quarter, with Safe Eurus and Safe Boreas on hire for the full period, while Safe Zephyrus and Safe Notos resumed operations after successfully completing five-year special periodic surveys (SPS) on time and budget in April. Safe Caledonia was in lay-up pending commencement of the vessel’s next contract in Q2 2027. -

Harbour Energy has announced the appointment of Graeme Davies as Managing Director of its UK Business Unit, effective 1 October 2026. Belgium: Axpo signs its first public-sector vPPA in Belgium with veb energy agency
Axpo has won a public tender from Flemish energy agency veb (Vlaams Energiebedrijf nv) to conclude its first joint virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) in Belgium’s public sector. The agreement will provide six public organisations with long-term access to Belgian onshore wind energy provided through a long-term collaboration between Axpo and Belgian wind energy producer Elicio and greater certainty on energy costs over a ten-year period. -

Rockhopper Exploration announces proposed Capital Raising
Further to the Company's announcement on 24 August 2026, Rockhopper Exploration, the oil and gas company with key interests in the North Falkland Basin, has announced its intention to raise approximately US$180 million (approximately £132.4 million), before expenses via a placing of New Ordinary Shares at an issue price of 70 pence per New Ordinary Share alongside an open offer of New Ordinary Shares at the Issue Price to raise up to approximately US$20 million (c. £14.4 million). -

UK: Shell to move number of Aberdeen jobs to London
Shell is to move a number of jobs from Aberdeen to London next year as part of changes to its global upstream business. Staff were informed of the move at a town hall meeting on Monday, with affected roles in development, subsurface and wells expected to relocate to London during 2027.
