Vestas has secured a 90 MW order to power an undisclosed wind project in South Korea. The order consists of 21 V136-4.2 MW wind turbines in 4.3 MW. The project will be the largest onshore wind project for Vestas in the country to date. -
14 Jun 24UK: Westwood Insight – More realism in floating wind, as UK set to miss 2030 target by 90%
According to Westwood’s WindLogix analysis, for floating wind specifically, the UK is set to miss its 2030 target by around 90% and the US its 2035 target by around 82%. As a result of increasing uncertainty, Westwood now takes a more risk-based assessment of the offshore wind pipeline and projects. -

The 'Toppand øst' well (35/11-29S) in the North Sea, drilled by Wellesley, Equinor and Petoro, has been plugged and abandoned as a dry hole. The well is located in PL 248 C, where Equinor is the operator. Wellesley Petroleum was the operator for the well. The area also covers the 'Swisher' discovery (35/11-24S A and B). -

TotalEnergies has entered into an agreement to sell its wholly-owned subsidiary TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) to Hibiscus Petroleum, a Malaysian independent oil and gas exploration and production company, for a consideration of $259 million. TotalEnergies EP (Brunei) owns and operates a 37.5% interest in Block B, which contains the Maharaja Lela/Jamalulam (MLJ) field, which started producing in 1999. -
