NewMed Energy announced that a term sheet has been initialled for the sale of all recoverable natural gas from Cyprus’s Aphrodite reservoir, in Block 12, offshore Cyprus, to Egypt’s state gas company EGAS, alongside a host government agreement (HGA) covering a new offshore transmission project. -

Gasunie and Fluxys sign deal to interconnect Dutch and Belgian hydrogen infrastructure
Dutch Gasunie subsidiary Hynetwork and its Belgian counterpart Fluxys hydrogen have signed a joint development agreement (JDA) for a cross-border hydrogen connection between the Netherlands and Belgium. Where possible, this connection will be developed using existing natural gas pipelines that have been repurposed for hydrogen transmission. The two companies aim to complete this connection by around 2030. -

Norway: Worley Rosenberg’s RjukanLH2 FEED award for Nordic region’s first liquid hydrogen production facility
Worley Rosenberg has been awarded the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract, with an exclusive option for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), for Norwegian Hydrogen’s 25 MW RjukanLH2 project. The project will establish the Nordic region’s first production facility for liquid hydrogen, with a capacity of 10 tonnes per day located in Rjukan, Norway. -

Brazil: Petrobras signs contracts with Petronas to regain 100% stake in the Tartaruga Verde field and in Module III of the Espadarte field
Petrobras has signed contracts with Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda for the acquisition of 50% stakes in the Tartaruga Verde and Espadarte – Module III fields, located in the Campos Basin. After the completion of the transaction, Petrobras will once again hold 100% ownership of the assets, remaining as operator. -
