The President, who owns a golf resort at Balmedie in Aberdeenshire, said the decision would bring wealth and prosperity to the UK and the North-east of Scotland. -

Egypt: Scatec and EBRD establish renewable energy investment platform in Egypt
Scatec, a leading renewable energy solutions provider, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development ('EBRD') have signed a share purchase agreement establishing a renewable energy investment platform for Egypt. The platform will be owned 60% by Scatec and 40% by EBRD. EBRD has committed up to USD 221 million to the platform. -

Archer reports Q3 2026 trading and shareholder distribution update

Santos announces 2026 Third Quarter Report
Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher said the September quarter delivered the step-change in production and cash flow that Santos had been working towards, with record quarterly production and free cash flow from operations as Barossa achieved steady production and Pikka progressed its ramp up towards plateau production. In the third quarter, ~50 per cent of Santos’ free cash flow was generated from its international operations (in PNG and Alaska). -

New Zealand: Nordex Group enters New Zealand market with 192 MW order from Mercury
The Nordex Group has received its first order from New Zealand. Mercury, one of New Zealand’s major electricity generation and retail companies, has ordered 40 N133/4.8 wind turbines with a total capacity of 192 MW for a wind farm in the Otago region of New Zealand’s South Island. In addition, Mercury and Nordex have concluded a comprehensive service agreement covering a period of 30 years. -
