UK: Rolls-Royce and Voltaria to build a 43 MW large-scale battery storage facility in Scotland
Rolls-Royce has begun construction on an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction EPC contract from leading battery energy storage platform Voltaria Helios Energy Storage to supply a large-scale battery energy storage facility in Falkirk, Scotland. This is the first large battery energy storage project by Rolls-Royce in the UK and will help stabilize the grid and support the UK’s Clean Power 2030 Action Plan. -

Germany: Nordex Group receives 35 MW order for wind farm in the Sauerland region in Germany
At the end of March, the Nordex Group received an order from STAWAG Energie GmbH, a subsidiary of STAWAG – Stadt- und Städteregionswerke Aachen AG, for five N163/6.X wind turbines. The turbines, with a hub height of 164 meters, are intended for the 35 MW Frettertal wind farm in the municipality of Finnentrop (Olpe district) in the Sauerland region. -

US: McDermott and Chiyoda complete construction and commissioning of Golden Pass LNG Train 1
McDermott, together with its joint venture partner Chiyoda International Corporation (CIC), has substantially completed construction and commissioning of Train 1 of the Golden Pass LNG Project in Sabine Pass, Texas. Subsequently, Golden Pass LNG Terminal LLC led start-up operations and have achieved first LNG on Train 1, a landmark achievement in the delivery of one of North America's most significant LNG developments. -

Spain: Plenitude expands electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Spain

UK: Vestas announces a new onshore order in the United Kingdom
Vestas has announced a new onshore order as part of its Q1 order intake. Customer and Project name are undisclosed. Order is for 20 x V136-4.5 MW turbines. It is a 15-year AOM 5000 Service Agreement, with delivery planned to begin in Q3 2027 and commissioning scheduled to begin in Q4 2027. -

Brazil: Searcher completes Phase 3 of Pelotas Basin Project
Searcher has announced the completion of Phase 3 of its multi-client 3D seismic acquisition in the Pelotas Basin, offshore Brazil. In this latest phase - executed in close collaboration with its partner Shearwater - the companies acquired an additional 7,500 sq km of high-quality 3D seismic data, bringing the total coverage in the basin to over 17,000 sq km.
