DNO, the Norwegian oil and gas operator, has announced that an appraisal well has further delineated the 2023 Carmen gas-condensate discovery in Norwegian North Sea license PL1148, with recoverable resources now estimated at 21–107 million barrels of oil equivalent. -

US: Chevron signs 20-year power agreement with Microsoft for West Texas data center
Chevron has announced that Energy Forge One LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary, has signed an agreement with Microsoft Corp. to develop a co-located power facility in West Texas that will provide dedicated electricity to a Microsoft-operated data center under a 20-year power purchase agreement. Chevron and Engine No. 1 have been collaborating on the development, known as Project Kilby. -

Angola: Saipem awarded new offshore contract by Azule Energy for the Greater PAJ project in Angola worth a total of 1 billion USD
Saipem has been awarded a new offshore contract by Azule Energy Exploration (Angola) and Azule Energy Angola, subsidiaries of an incorporated joint venture owned by Eni and bp, mainly for transportation and installation (T&I) services in support of the Greater PAJ project, located approx. 200 kms off the coast of Angola. The contract, with a duration of around 40 months, is worth 1 billion USD. -

Prosafe reports 79% fleet utilisation for May 2026. In Brazil, Safe Eurus, Safe Notos and Safe Zephyrus operated at full capacity, delivering near 100% commercial uptime. Safe Boreas operated at near 100% utilisation offshore Australia. Safe Caledonia is in lay-up at Scapa Flow, UK. The vessel has a contract (6 months firm + 3 months of options) with Ithaca Energy for accommodation support at the Captain field in the UK North Sea, starting in the second quarter of 2027. -
