Given the continued decline in domestic natural gas availability and the lack of a clear pathway to meaningful new supply, Methanex has determined that continued operations in New Zealand are not sustainable. |

Germany: RWE power stations affected by incident near substation; first power plant units expected to be reconnected to grid later today RWE announced today (September 2) that around 8.00 pm yesterday evening, an incident occurred in the vicinity of an Amprion substation, as a result of which a total of five RWE lignite-fired power plant units in the Rhenish lignite area, with a combined capacity of 4,200 megawatts (MW), were taken off the grid. At the time, the units were feeding around 3,000 MW of power into the grid. |
