Gasunie and Fluxys sign deal to interconnect Dutch and Belgian hydrogen infrastructure Dutch Gasunie subsidiary Hynetwork and its Belgian counterpart Fluxys hydrogen have signed a joint development agreement (JDA) for a cross-border hydrogen connection between the Netherlands and Belgium. Where possible, this connection will be developed using existing natural gas pipelines that have been repurposed for hydrogen transmission. The two companies aim to complete this connection by around 2030. |

UK: EnQuest Heather fined for collective decommissioning failures The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) has fined North Sea licensee EnQuest Heather Limited a collective total of £16.5 million for failing to decommission 33 inactive wells. The cumulative fine is for protracted non-compliance on 33 wells under four separate licences on Alma, Galia, Broom, and Dons fields. The penalty for each breach is £500,000. |
