Brazil: Petrobras signs contract for drilling onshore wells for the São Tomé CCS Pilot Project in Rio de Janeiro
Petrobras has signed a contract for the drilling and completion of four onshore wells at the Barra do Furado Station (EBAF), in Quissamã (RJ) . The wells - one vertical injector and three directional monitoring wells - are part of the infrastructure of the São Tomé CCS Pilot Project , the first in Latin America for capturing, moving and storing carbon dioxide (CO2) in a saline reservoir from industrial sources.

UK: DeepOcean completes subsea tie-back construction for Teal West development
Global ocean services provider DeepOcean has successfully completed subsea construction and tie-in work at the Teal West development on the UK Continental Shelf for Anasuria Operating Company. Teal West is an offshore oil and gas development project located in the Central North Sea, on the UK Continental Shelf. The field has been developed as a subsea tieback to the existing Anasuria FPSO facility.

Norway: Norwegian Offshore Directorate announces production figures for July 2026
Preliminary production figures for July 2026 show an average daily production of 1,976,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. Total gas sales were 10.9 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is 0.9 (GSm3) more than the previous month. The average daily production of liquids in July was: 1,776,000 barrels of oil, 183,000 barrels of NGL and 17,000 barrels of condensate. Oil production in July is 2.1 percent less than the NOD’s forecast and 4.5 percent more than the forecast so far this year.

UK: PM urged to rethink £1.5bn turbine factory snub
A row over the UK Government’s decision to block a £1.5billion Chinese investment at Ardersier has reignited, with Prime Minister Andy Burnham urged to visit the Highlands and explain the decision. Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Ming Yang had selected Ardersier as its preferred location for a new factory, which it says would create up to 1,500 direct jobs and a further 8,000 across the supply chain.

Total consideration amounts to USD 86.5 million, comprising USD 65.1 million in cash and the balance in 7,000,000 Panoro shares to be issued.

Santos announces half-year results for 2026
Santos has announced its half-year results for 2026, reflecting a period of transition for the company as the Pikka project commenced production, Barossa continued to progress through commissioning and ramp-up, underpinned by the base business which performed strongly. First-half production was 45.6 mmboe, up 3 per cent on the prior corresponding period. Sales revenue was $2.6 billion, EBITDAX was $1.6 billion and free cash flow from operations was $378 million.
