UK: We need more projects like Rosebank if we are serious about homegrown UK energy future - OEUK
The leading trade body for the offshore energy sector, Offshore Energies UK (OEUK), has hailed the UK Government’s decision to approve the new Rosebank oil and gas field. At its peak, Rosebank could produce 69,000 barrels of oil (9,000 tonnes) per day – equivalent to 8% of the UK’s entire output between 2026 and 2030. It could also produce in excess of 21 MMSCF of natural gas every day.

Angola: TotalEnergies sells a 40% interest in Block 20 to PETRONAS ahead of its development
TotalEnergies has finalized the sale to PETRONAS of a 40% interest in Block 20 in the Kwanza Basin in Angola. The sale price was $400 million, subject to customary price adjustments. Block 20 contains the Cameia and Golfinho oil discoveries.

Norway/Germany: Equinor and OMV agree new long-term gas sales agreement
Equinor has signed a new long-term gas sales agreement with Austria’s major energy company OMV. The agreement is for 5 years starting 1 October this year and with an annual volume of 12 TWh. The gas will be delivered at Germany’s virtual trading hub THE (Trading Hub Europe) for the OMV European portfolio.

Norway: NPD grants consent for start-up of the Breidablikk field in the North Sea
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted consent for start-up of the Breidablikk field in the North Sea. Production is expected to start in October. Breidablikk, operated by Equinor, contains around 30 million standard cubic metres of recoverable oil (approx. 190 million barrels of oil). Total investments are around NOK 19 billion.

Germany: TotalEnergies will install and operate 1,100 High-Power EV Charge points
TotalEnergies has been awarded a contract for the installation and operation of 1100 high-power charge points (HPC) for electrical vehicles (up to 200 kW) as part of the German government's tender for the "Deutschlandnetz" ('Germany network'). These charging points will be grouped in 'EV hubs' at 134 locations in eastern, central and western Germany.

Ireland: Ørsted secures solar and wind renewable energy contracts under Irish RESS 3 auction
Ørsted has secured two contracts in the Irish Government’s third onshore Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (RESS 3) auction. The approved Ørsted projects were the 81 MW Garreenleen Solar Farm in Carlow, and the 43.2 MW Farranrory Onshore Wind Farm in Tipperary.

Germany: TenneT commissions DolWin6 and expands connection capacity to more than 8,000 Megawatt
With the completion of the DolWin6 offshore grid connection, the transmission system operator TenneT has made more than eight gigawatts of connection capacity available for wind energy in the German North Sea. DolWin6, TenneT's 13th German offshore grid connection, has now been officially handed over to TenneT for regular operation after several weeks of successful trial operation by Siemens Energy.

Qatar: QatarEnergy signs new LNG ship-building agreement with Hyundai Heavy Industries
QatarEnergy has signed an agreement with Korea’s HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the construction of 17 ultra-modern LNG carriers. The deal, valued at 14.2 billion Qatari Riyals, marks the start of the second phase of QatarEnergy's LNG ship acquisition program, which will support its expanding LNG production capacity from the North Field LNG expansion and Golden Pass LNG export projects.

CGG has announced the start of a major new multi-client 3D PSDM reimaging program in the Tano Basin offshore Côte d’Ivoire in association with the country’s Direction Générale des Hydrocarbures (DGH) and national oil company, PETROCI. The 6,400 sq km reimaged seismic data set is located near the recent world-class Baleine field.

Norway: DNO drills gas/condensate discovery in the North Sea
DNO Norge is concluding the drilling of exploration well 25/7-11 S 'Norma' in the North Sea. Recoverable gas/condensate volumes of between 2-21 million Sm3 were proven. The well was drilled by the Deepsea Yantai exploration rig about 20 km north of the Balder field in the central part of the North Sea
