Denmark: RWE reports first generation at Thor offshore wind farm
One milestone follows another at the 1.1-gigawatt Thor offshore wind farm off Denmark’s west coast near Jutland: Yesterday, shortly after the installation of the first turbine, Thor delivered electricity into the Danish grid for the first time. Once fully operational in 2027, Thor will be able to power the equivalent of more than one million Danish homes.

Angola: Seadrill announces contract extension in Angola
Seadrill has announced that Sonadrill, its 50:50 joint venture with an affiliate of Sonango, has been awarded a contract extension. A seven-well priced option for the ultra-deepwater drillship Sonangol Quenguela has been exercised, extending operations in Angola by approximately 480 days and committing the rig into June 2028.

Germany: Nordex Group receives new orders for 137 MW for repowering projects on the island of Fehmarn in Germany
The Nordex Group has received two new orders for repowering projects on the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn in Germany. For the two wind farms Fehmarn-Mitte I and Fehmarn-Mitte II, Nordex will supply and install 24 wind turbines of the N163/5.X type. The total capacity of the orders from the company Fehmarn-Mitte GmbH amounts to 136.8 MW.

Angola: bp confirms production start-up from the New Gas Consortium project in Angola
bp has confirmed start-up of gas production from the Quiluma field, part of the New Gas Consortium (NGC) in Angola, as reported by operator Azule Energy. Libya: Eni announces new gas discoveries in Libya totalling more than 1 Tcf
Two adjacent geological structures, Bahr Essalam South 2 (BESS 2) and Bahr Essalam South 3 (BESS 3), were successfully drilled by the B2-16/4 and C1-16/4 wells, located approx. 85 km off the coast in about 650 feet of water, and 16 km south of the Bahr Essalam gas field. Preliminary volumetric estimates indicate that the BESS 2 and BESS 3 structures jointly contain more than 1 Tcf of gas in place.
