Magseis signs MoU with Schlumberger for joint ocean-bottom seismic services
Magseis and WesternGeco, the geophysical services product line of Schlumberger, have signed a MoU to offer joint bundled seismic services including ocean-bottom nodes (OBN) acquisition from Magseis, the world’s largest nodal acquisition company, and data QC and processing from WesternGeco, a world leader in ocean-bottom seismic (OBS) processing.

Egypt: TransGlobe Energy announces test results for South Ghazalat 6X oil discovery
TransGlobe Energy reports that the SGZ 6X exploration well tested a combined 3,840 Bopd of light (35-38 API) oil from individual tests in the Upper and Lower Bahariya formations. Based on the positive test rates from SGZ 6X, the Company will begin preparing a development plan for the discovery.

Morocco: Sound Energy's TE-9 well in the Greater Tendrara disappoints
Sound Energy has announced the results of the TE-9 wireline log interpretation. TE-9 is the first of a three well programme to explore three non-related play concepts in the Tendrara area. Interpretation of the wireline logs has not established the presence of producible gas and the well will be plugged and abandoned, and not tested.
