McDermott announces first quarter 2026 results
McDermott International has announced financial results for the first quarter 2026. For the three months ended March 31, 2026, revenue was $2.4 billion; adjusted EBITDA was $117 million; and cash flow used in operating activities was $126 million. Backlog at quarter end was $17.6 billion. Trailing twelve months adjusted EBITDA was $489 million.

New Zealand's gas reserves decline to lowest level on record
Annual petroleum reserves data released today by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) shows as of 1 January 2026 New Zealand’s natural gas proven plus probable (2P) reserves declined 23% from last year to 731 petajoules (PJ), the lowest level since recording began 20 years ago.

Norway: Statkraft to reinvest in Norwegian hydropower
Statkraft has announced updated estimates for investments in Norwegian power generation and plans to invest around NOK 80 billion over the next ten years. This positions the company as one of the largest contributors to new industrial activity in mainland Norway in the years ahead, with projects distributed across the entire country.

Germany: RWE builds further solar park and new battery storage facility at Hambach opencast mine
RWE has begun construction on a large utility-scale solar plant in the Rhein-Erft district. The 'Manheimer Bucht' solar park is being built within the Hambach opencast mine, in the municipality of Kolpingstadt Kerpen. A total of 25,300 solar modules are being installed in an area the size of around 20 football pitches.

Denmark: International Stillstrom-led consortium secures €5 million EU Horizon funding for offshore vessel charging pilot in Denmark
An international consortium led by Stillstrom by Maersk has secured €5 million from the European Union’s flagship Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. The funding will be used for project SPARK, to develop and demonstrate offshore charging infrastructure for stationary vessels at anchor with their engines running.

Archer reports growth and reconfirms guidance for the year
Archer reports another strong quarter and confirms quarterly cash distribution to shareholders, corresponding to an annualized yield of roughly 9%. For Q1, Archer reports revenue of $278.4 million and adjusted EBITDA of $41.1 million, representing a YOY-growth of 15% and 18% respectively, when excluding the divested workover business in Argentina from 2025 financials.

Germany: Nordex Group receives new orders totaling 82 MW from Westfälisch-Niedersächsische Energie WNE in Germany
The Nordex Group has received new orders from Westfälisch-Niedersächsische Energie GmbH & Co. KG (WNE) in Germany for the supply and installation of twelve N175/6.X wind turbines. The turbines, each with a hub height of 179 meters, will be installed across three projects in the district of Höxter in North Rhine-Westphalia. The total capacity of the orders amounts to 82 MW.

UK: Conservatives to force Commons vote on North Sea drilling
