UK: Jackdaw gas field should be approved, says leading energy academic
A leading energy academic has urged regulators to approve the Jackdaw gas field, arguing the UK will become more reliant on higher-emissions imports if the North Sea project does not proceed. Jackdaw is one of two major North Sea developments being advanced by Adura, alongside the Rosebank field west of Shetland. The Company says the projects together represent £10.8 billion of investment and will generate £28.7 billion in gross value added over their producing lifetimes.

ABO Energy agrees the sale of its Polish and Hungarian subsidiaries
ABO Energy has agreed, as planned, the sale of its Hungarian and Polish subsidiaries. The Greek company PPC, the leading South-East European integrated utility Group, will acquire the two companies, including all 38 ABO Energy employees in the two countries, a development pipeline with a total capacity of around two gigawatts, and five operational solar parks with a combined capacity of 82 megawatts as well as a 17 megawatts solar farm nearing completion.
