Australia: Empire Energy signs Gas Sales Agreement with NT Government
Empire has been actively pursuing production from the Beetaloo Basin since 2011, with strong support from the NT Government for this objective since 2018. Subject to final approvals, Empire anticipates being the first company to provide gas supply from the Beetaloo, commencing next year.

Netherlands: TotalEnergies acquires a stake in the OranjeWind offshore wind farm with a view to supplying green hydrogen to its European refineries
TotalEnergies has signed agreements with German renewable developer RWE, to acquire a 50% stake in OranjeWind, a 795 MW offshore wind farm under development in the Netherlands. TotalEnergies will dedicate its share of the renewable electricity production from this project to power 350 MW electrolyzer projects. These will produce about 40,000 tons per year of green hydrogen for the decarbonization of TotalEnergies’ refineries in Northern Europe.

Portugal: Iberdrola increases its renewable production in Portugal with two new photovoltaic plants
The Montechoro I and II PV plants, located in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, have been completed and now contribute to the country's renewable energy production capacity. With a total installed capacity of 37 megawatts (MW) and a total annual production capacity of 56.84 GWh, the projects were awarded to Iberdrola in an auction in 2019.
