Brazil: Petrobras signs contract for drilling onshore wells for the São Tomé CCS Pilot Project in Rio de Janeiro Petrobras has signed a contract for the drilling and completion of four onshore wells at the Barra do Furado Station (EBAF), in Quissamã (RJ) . The wells - one vertical injector and three directional monitoring wells - are part of the infrastructure of the São Tomé CCS Pilot Project , the first in Latin America for capturing, moving and storing carbon dioxide (CO2) in a saline reservoir from industrial sources. |

Norway: Norwegian Offshore Directorate announces production figures for July 2026 Preliminary production figures for July 2026 show an average daily production of 1,976,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. Total gas sales were 10.9 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is 0.9 (GSm3) more than the previous month. The average daily production of liquids in July was: 1,776,000 barrels of oil, 183,000 barrels of NGL and 17,000 barrels of condensate. Oil production in July is 2.1 percent less than the NOD’s forecast and 4.5 percent more than the forecast so far this year. |
