UK: North Sea data upload will support energy transition - NSTA
The search for carbon storage and windfarm sites has received a significant boost with the transfer of valuable files from the National Hydrocarbons Data Archive (NHDA) to the National Data Repository (NDR). China: CNOOC Ltd makes major exploration breakthrough in Bohai Bay
CNOOC Limited has achieved a major exploration breakthrough offshore Bohai Bay. Longkou 7-1 oilfield is located in eastern Bohai Bay, with an average water depth of about 26 meters. The discovery well LK7-1-1, which was drilled and completed at a depth of approx. 4,400 meters, encountered a total of 76 meters oil and gas pay zones. The well was tested and produced about 210 cubic meters of crude oil and nearly one million cubic meters of natural gas per day, a new record for gas productivity in Bohai Bay.
