Maersk Drilling has been awarded contracts for a three-well exploration drilling project by Total. Maersk Voyager will be employed offshore Angola and Namibia for a campaign which includes the deepest water depth ever drilled offshore. The project includes two wells offshore Angola in Blocks 32 and 48, plus one well offshore Namibia.

Norway: ConocoPhillips makes minor oil and gas discovery near the Balder field in the North Sea - 25/7-8 S
ConocoPhillips has concluded the drilling of wildcat well 25/7-8 S in PL 917. The well, drilled about 10 kms northwest of the Balder field in the central part of the North Sea, encountered several oil and gas bearing intervals and preliminary estimates place the size of the discovery at between 1 and 5 million standard cubic metres (Sm3) of recoverable oil equivalent.

JV partner United Oil & Gas has announced that the Initial Exploration Period for the Tullow-operated Walton Morant licence, during which a drill or drop decision is required, has been extended by a further six months. SBM’s first completed Fast4Ward hull arrives in Singapore
After a journey of 2,300 nautical miles, the Fast4Ward hull has safely arrived at Keppel yard in Singapore from China. This is SBM Offshore’s first generic hull, the Multi-Purpose Floater (MPF1) in its series of hulls currently under construction. The MPF1 hull was allocated to the Liza Unity FPSO for offshore Guyana, following Final Investment Decision (FID) by ExxonMobil, Hess and CNOOC in May 2019.
