Russia: NOVATEK awarded the Bukharinskiy license area in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region
NOVATEK announced December 27 that Arctic LNG 1, a wholly owned subsidiary, won the auction for the Bukharinskiy subsoil license area located on the Gydan Peninsula and partly in the shallow waters of the Ob and Taz bays in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region.

Russia: NOVATEK commences pilot production at the North-Russkoye field
NOVATEK announced December 19 that NOVATEK-Tarkosaleneftegas, a wholly owned subsidiary, commenced pilot production at the North-Russkoye field, with estimated annual production capacity of 5.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 700 thousand tons of gas condensate.

PETRONAS on 28 December 2019 announced the completion of the transaction for the acquisition of 50 per cent equity in the Tartaruga Verde producing field (BM-C-36 Concession) and Module III of the Espadarte field (Espadarte Concession), both located in deep waters of the Campos Basin, offshore Brazil.

Guyana: ExxonMobil discovers oil offshore Guyana at Mako-1 well
ExxonMobil announced December 23 an oil discovery offshore Guyana at the Mako-1 well southeast of the Liza field, marking the 15th discovery on the Stabroek Block. The discovery adds to the previously announced estimated recoverable resource of more than 6 billion oil-equivalent barrels on the Stabroek Block.

Guyana: ExxonMobil begins oil production at the Liza field offshore Guyana
ExxonMobil on December 20 announced that oil production has started from the Liza field offshore Guyana ahead of schedule and less than five years after the first discovery of hydrocarbons. Production for Liza Phase 1 is expected to reach full capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day in the coming months.

Congo (Brazzaville): Zenith Energy acquires interest in AAOG's Tilapia oil field in the Republic of the Congo
Zenith Energy has signed a conditional share purchase agreement with Anglo African Oil & Gas for the acquisition of an 80 percent interest in AAOG's fully owned subsidiary in the Republic of the Congo. AAOG Congo has a 56 percent majority interest in, and is operator of, the Tilapia oilfield in the Republic of the Congo.
