17 Dec 18	Angola: Sonangol and BP agree to advance BP’s activities in Angola Angola’s Sonangol and BP have signed an agreement to progress to final investment decision the development of the Platina field in deepwater Block 18, offshore Angola. They also agreed to extend the production licence for the BP-operated Greater Plutonio project on Block 18 to 2032, subject to government approval, and for Sonangol to take an 8% equity interest in the block.

The well intersected the R1, R2 and R3 horizons and hydrocarbons were encountered in these horizons as prognosed and in line with the Company's geological model.

17 Dec 18	Norway: Equinor starts production from the Aasta Hansteen gas field in the Norwegian Sea Equinor and its partners have started production from the Aasta Hansteen gas field in the Norwegian Sea. Located in 1,300 metres of water, it is the deepest field development on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS), the largest spar platform in the world, and a first on the NCS.

17 Dec 18	Spain: Prospex Oil and Gas increases interest in proven gas project in southern Spain Prospex Oil and Gas has exercised its option to increase its interest in the Tesorillo Project in southern Spain to 15 percent from 2.5 percent. Tesorillo covers 38,000ha in a proven hydrocarbon region and contains a known gas discovery with an estimated gross unrisked Prospective Resource of 830 billion cubic feet of gas.

The extension enables the operator, Holywell Resources, to complete further work and optimise the technical and commercial appraisal and development plans.
