27 Dec 19	Congo (Brazzaville): Zenith Energy acquires interest in AAOG's Tilapia oil field in the Republic of the Congo Zenith Energy has signed a conditional share purchase agreement with Anglo African Oil & Gas for the acquisition of an 80 percent interest in AAOG's fully owned subsidiary in the Republic of the Congo. AAOG Congo has a 56 percent majority interest in, and is operator of, the Tilapia oilfield in the Republic of the Congo.
20 Dec 19	Norway: Var Energi submits PDO for increasing recovery from the Balder field The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate reports that Var Energi has submitted an amended Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) for the Balder field and the associated Ringhorne deposit in the North Sea. The development will contribute to increase recovery from Balder.

20 Dec 19	US: TGS acquires U.S. onshore 3D seismic survey assets TGS has completed a transaction to purchase over 800 sq miles of onshore 3D seismic surveys from a U.S. based E&P company. The transaction supports TGS’ onshore growth strategy with the addition of key surveys, most notably in the SCOOP-STACK of the Anadarko Basin, Powder River Basin, and Permian Basin.
20 Dec 19	Nigeria: TGS announces new Multibeam and Seafloor Sampling Project in Nigeria TGS, along with its joint venture partner PetroData, has announced Nigeria’s first regional multi-client Multibeam and Seafloor Sampling (MB&SS) Study. The study will cover an area of approx. 80,000 sq kms of the offshore Niger Delta.

20 Dec 19	Schlumberger becomes first company in upstream E&P services to commit to science-based target in emissions reduction Schlumberger has announced its commitment to setting a science-based target to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Schlumberger’s commitment has been submitted to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and, in line with the defined criteria, Schlumberger will define its reduction target by 2021.
19 Dec 19	Norway: Equinor granted drilling permit for well 7219/9-3 in PL 532 The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Equinor a drilling permit for wildcat well 7219/9-3 in production licence PL 532. The well will be drilled about 25 kms southwest of the Johan Castberg FPSO.
19 Dec 19	Equinor increases its ownership in Scatec Solar Equinor has acquired an additional 5.2 percent interest in Scatec Solar for a total purchase price of NOK 754 million. As a result of the transaction Equinor has raised its total shareholding to 15.2 percent, further strengthening its exposure to the fast-growing solar energy sector.

Flow and build-up test results suggest an Absolute Open Flow rate of 46.0 million cubic feet per day.

18 Dec 19	US: McDermott, Chiyoda and Zachry Group announce first cargo from Freeport LNG Train 2 McDermott International along with its partners, Chiyoda International Corp and Zachry Group, has announced that the first commissioning cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) has been shipped from Train 2 of the Freeport LNG project on Quintana Island in Freeport, Texas.
18 Dec 19	Glencore to acquire LNG business of Orsted Glencore’s oil division has entered into an agreement to acquire the LNG business of Orsted. The agreement will involve Glencore novating a number of contracts, including the right to use 3bcm of annual regasification capacity at the Gate terminal in Rotterdam until 2031. The agreement also includes a number of LNG supply contracts.

Devon has also authorized a new USD 1 billion share-repurchase program, bringing the total repurchase authorization to USD 6 billion.

18 Dec 19	UK: Independent Oil and Gas provides update on Harvey appraisal and Redwell discovery in the Southern North Sea Independent Oil and Gas has provided an update on the results of the Harvey appraisal well 48/24b-6 in the UK Southern North Sea, which appears to be sub-commercial. Updated post-well mapping of the Redwell discovery, to the immediate east of the Harvey licence, indicates that the northern section of the pre-well Harvey structure is likely to contain commercial volumes of gas and that Redwell has fairly substantial gas in place.
