Colombia: Amerisur Resources announces CPO -5 operational update
Amerisur Resources has provided an operational update regarding the initial short term testing ('STT') at the Indico-1 well on the CPO-5 block (AMER 30%) and upcoming CPO-5 drilling programme. Initial flow rates of 4,530 bopd from STT at Indico-1 and immediate four-well drilling programme confirmed.

Cameroon: Victoria Oil & Gas receives Presidential Decree for acquisition of 75 percent interest in Matanda Block
Victoria Oil & Gas has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Gaz du Cameroun has received the Decree signed by H.E President Paul Biya on December 17, 2018, authorising the transfer of interest in the Matanda PSC assigned from Glencore in early 2016.

Faroe Petroleum has announced the results of the Brasse East exploration well 31/7-3 S and the Brasse appraisal sidetrack 31/7-3 A in the northern North Sea. Although no hydrocarbons were present in the Brasse East prospect, the results of the appraisal sidetrack confirms hydrocarbons within the northern part of the Brasse field, as expected.

The Board of Faroe Petroleum has announced that it is today publishing an independent current valuation report on Faroe's assets which implies a valuation for Faroe in the range of 186p to 225p per share. Faroe Petroleum has announced the results of the Cassidy exploration well 8/10-7S within the PL405 Oda licence in the Norwegian North Sea. The well encountered 13 metres of water bearing Jurassic Ula formation sandstones and is being plugged and abandoned as planned.

Cuba: Melbana Energy signs farmout agreement for Cuba Block 9
Melbana Energy has signed a farmout agreement with Anhui Modestinner Energy (AMEC) with respect to its Block 9 PSC in Cuba. Under the terms of the farmout agreement AMEC will fully fund 100 percent of all costs associated with the Block 9 PSC from 1 January 2019, including the drilling of at least three wells.

Russia: NOVATEK launches crude oil production at the Yaro-Yakhinskoye field
NOVATEK has launched commercial production of crude oil at the Yaro-Yakhinskoye field developed by Arcticgas, a joint venture between NOVATEK and Gazprom Neft. The field’s crude oil production capacity is estimated at 1.2 million tons per annum.

Transocean announces 5-year USD830 million drilling contract with Chevron
Transocean has signed a rig design and construction management contract, as well as a five-year drilling contract, with Chevron USA for one of its two dynamically positioned ultra-deepwater drillships currently under construction at the Jurong shipyard in Singapore. The rig is expected to commence operations in the Gulf of Mexico in the second half of 2021.

Corallian Energy has reported that drilling of the Wick exploration well (11/24b-4) commenced on 25 December 2018. the Wick Prospect is a fault bounded trap with Jurassic sandstone reservoirs lying up-dip of the spill point of the Lybster oilfield in the Inner Moray Firth Basin.

Nigeria Sirius Petroleum provides update on rig for Ororo field drilling
Sirius Petroleum has advised that the spudding of the Ororo-2 well on the Ororo field in Nigeria will not now take place in Q4 2018. Shelf Drillings Adriatic-1 jack-up rig is completing the last of pre-existing contracts on the adjacent oil block to the Ororo field with another operator prior to the Sirius work programme.

Norway: Equinor completes sales of two non-core NCS assets
Equinor has completed the sales of two non-core discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf that were both announced in October 2018. The sales comprised a 77.8 percent operated interest in the King Lear discovery to Aker BP for USD 250 million and non-operated interests of 42.38 percent in the Tommeliten Unit (PL044 TA) and 30 percent in PL044 to PGNiG for USD 220 million.

UK: Eni spuds Rowallan exploration well 22/19c-G
JV partner Serica Energy has announced the spud of the Eni UK operated Rowallan exploration well 22/19c-G. The well is targeting the high-pressure, high-temperature gas condensate Rowallan prospect, which comprises a significant structural fault and dip-closed trap in the east of Block 22/19c in the Central North Sea.
