Australia: Woodside and JERA sign agreement for long-term LNG supply
Woodside has signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with JERA for the long-term supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Japan. Under the SPA, Woodside will supply approx. 0.4 million tonnes (six cargoes) of LNG per year over 10 years on a delivered basis, commencing in April 2026. LNG delivered to JERA under the SPA will be sourced from volumes across Woodside’s global portfolio.

UK: North Sea energy industry ahead of greenhouse gas emissions targets in its drive to net zero
The UK oil and gas industry has more than halved methane emissions since 2018 and reduced overall emissions associated with the production of oil and gas by 28% in the same time frame. This means the UK will achieve targets agreed with government for methane reduction seven years ahead of the 2030 deadline and exceed the 25% reduction target for production emissions four years ahead of schedule.
