UK: The Prax Group announces successful acquisition of Hurricane Energy
The Prax Group has announced that it has successfully completed the strategic acquisition of Hurricane Energy in the United Kingdom. Hurricane is a UK-based oil and gas exploration and production company with a 100 per cent operated interest in the Lancaster offshore oil field in the West of Shetland basin.

Norway: Alvheim FPSO celebrates fifteen years of production
Today the Alvheim FPSO celebrates fifteen years of oil and gas production. The field and the production vessel have over-performed since production commenced on 8 June 2008. Perhaps the best birthday present comes from the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, who today granted approval for the development of Tyrving, which will be a tie-in to Alvheim.

Norway's Ministry of Petroleum and Energy approves Aker BP's development plan for Tyrving
The Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has approved the Plan for development and operation (PDO) for Tyrving (previously Trell & Trine) in the Alvheim area. The Tyrving development will utilise the planned extended lifetime for the Alvheim field. Production is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2025.

Colombia: Arrow announces CN-1 well update
Arrow Exploration has provided an update on the Carrizales Norte-1 well ('CN-1'), an exploration well on the Tapir Block in the Llanos Basin of Colombia. The Company has commenced completion operations at CN-1 and Management expects to proceed with putting the C7A and C7 zones straight on production during the course of next week. The C7 reservoirs were the primary target of CN-1 and displayed excellent reservoir characteristics.

Mexico: New Fortress Energy receives Mexico export authorization for Altamira Fast LNG project
New Fortress Energy, a global energy infrastructure company, has received an export permit for its Altamira Fast LNG facility from Mexico’s Ministry of Energy (Secretaría de Energía (SENER)). Under the permit granted by SENER, NFE is now authorized to export up to 7.8 million metric tons through April, 2028, providing ample capacity to support the operations of the 1.4 million tons per annum (MTPA) Fast LNG facility through the permitted period.

US: AES acquires largest permitted solar-plus-storage project in the United States
The AES Corporation has announced the acquisition of the 2 GW Bellefield project, which is currently in late-stage development, and is the largest permitted solar-plus-storage project in the United States. The project, located in Kern County, California, where AES already has significant operations, includes two phases, each with 500 MW of solar and up to 500 MW of four-hour duration battery energy storage.
