UK: Iberdrola’s largest wind farm comes into operation: East Anglia ONE, in UK waters
Iberdrola, through its subsidiary ScottishPower Renewables, has put into operation what is now the largest wind farm in its history and one of the world's largest of its kind: the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm in British waters in the North Sea. With an installed capacity of 714 megawatts (MW), the 102 turbines that comprise it are already operational, producing clean energy for 630,000 British homes.

Saipem will co-develop a wind farm in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Ravenna. The Company has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AGNES, a company that develops renewable energy projects in the Adriatic Sea, and QINT’X, an Italian company specialising in renewable energy.

Trillion Energy International has commented on TPAO's recent Tuna-1 gas discovery made proximate to its South Akcakoca Sub-Basin ('SASB') gas field, offshore Turkey, which is estimated to be the largest natural gas discovery in the Black Sea to date and potentially one of the largest in Europe in recent history.

UK: Shell completes farm-in to Egdon Resources offshore licences P1929 and P2304
Egdon Resources as advised the completion of the Farm-In Agreement with Shell U.K. in respect of offshore licences P1929 and P2304 which contain the Resolution and Endeavour gas discoveries. Under the terms of the Farm-In Agreement, Shell will pay 85% of the costs of the acquisition and processing of the 3D seismic survey covering both the Resolution and Endeavour gas discoveries.

US: Even at $40 WTI, about 150 more North American E&Ps will need Chapter 11 protection by end-2022 - Rystad Energy
The Covid-19 pandemic has added severe financial strain on a North American upstream industry that was already reeling under billions of dollars of debt. With WTI climbing past $40 a barrel, most exploration and production firms have been able to keep their head above water, but unless prices strengthen further about 150 more E&Ps will need to seek Chapter 11 protection through 2022, a Rystad Energy analysis shows.

Norway's preliminary production figures for July 2020 show an average daily production of 2,062,000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. Oil production in June is 0.8 percent higher than the NPD’s forecast, and 0.1 percent below the forecast so far this year.
