UK: Equinor’s first commercial battery storage asset begins operations The Blandford Road battery storage asset in the UK has come into operation. The operational phase marks an important milestone in Equinor’s ambition of delivering flexible power solutions in the country. The 25 MW/ 50 MWh Blandford Road battery storage asset is fully owned by Equinor. It was developed and will be operated by the British battery storage company Noriker Power in which Equinor owns a 45% equity share. |

Norway: Equinor drills discovery near the Munin field in the North Sea Equinor has discovered oil in exploration well 30/12-3 S in the North Sea. The well also included a sidetrack, 30/12-3 A, which was dry. The well was drilled by Equinor on behalf of Aker BP, the operator of production licence 272 B. Preliminary calculations show that the discovery is not profitable with current price assumptions and the well has been permanently plugged and abandoned. |
