Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser signs licensing agreement with Reliance
Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser, a fully owned subsidiary of Nel ASA, has entered into a technology licensing agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). The agreement provides RIL with an exclusive license for Nel’s alkaline electrolysers in India and also allows RIL to manufacture Nel’s alkaline electrolysers for captive purposes globally.

UK: First monopile foundation in place at Sofia Offshore Wind Farm
Van Oord’s offshore installation vessel Aeolus has installed the first monopile foundation at the RWE Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, located on Dogger Bank in the central North Sea. The 1.4 GW Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, one of the largest offshore wind projects in the world, will have enough capacity to power 1.2 million average UK homes.

Austria: Vestas secures 84 MW repowering order in Austria
Vestas has received an 84 MW order from BE Energy, a subsidiary of Burgenland Energie, to repower a part of the Neusiedl-Weiden wind energy project in Austria. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025 with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Suriname: PETRONAS discovery in Suriname approaches 400 million barrels - Wood Mackenzie
According to a report by Wood Mackenzie, PETRONAS discoveries Roystonea and Fusaea are in the region of 400 million barrels of recoverable resources, which could be enough to support an FPSO with an oil processing capacity of up to 100,000 b/d FPSO development. Wood Mackenzie now holds Suriname's discovered resources at more than 2.4 billion barrels of oil and liquids and more than 12.5 tcf of gas.

Angola: TotalEnergies launches the Kaminho deepwater project
TotalEnergies, along with its Block 20/11 partners, Petronas and Sonangol, has announced the Final Investment Decision (FID) of the Kaminho project to develop the Cameia and Golfinho fields, located 100 km off the coast of Angola. The Kaminho project is the first large deepwater development in the Kwanza basin.

Maha Energy has signed definitive agreements with 3R Petroleum to roll up its 15% holdings in 3R Petroleum Offshore through merge of its wholly owned subsidiary Maha Energy (Holding) Brasil Ltda. into 3R Petroleum. In exchange, Maha will receive new ordinary shares issued by 3R Petroleum, equivalent to 2.17% of the total voting and share capital of the entity resulting from the combination of 3R Petroleum and Enauta.

US: APA announces over $700 million in asset sales from two transactions for non-core Texas properties
APA Corporation has announced the sale of non-core producing properties by Apache Corporation and certain of its subsidiaries in two separate transactions with aggregate proceeds of more than $700 million, prior to customary closing adjustments. Combined, the properties represent estimated net production in the first-quarter 2024 of 13,000 boe/d, of which just over one-third is oil.

BW Energy has announced a substantial oil discovery with good reservoir quality in the DHIBM-7P pilot well drilled to appraise the northern flank of the Hibiscus field. The Company plans to complete the well as a production well later in 2024.

Germany: EnBW begins construction work on Germany’s largest offshore wind farm in the North Sea
The entire wind farm is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2025. EnBW will be responsible for the technical and commercial management. Servicing and maintenance work will be carried out from its service base in Emden. The Dutch-German grid operator TenneT will connect the wind farm to the grid using an offshore converter station and two high-voltage DC export cables.

UK: Serica Energy receives approval for Belinda field development
AIM-listed Serica Energy has received final approval from the NSTA to develop the 100% owned and operated Belinda field. The field will be tied back to the Triton FPSO following the drilling of the development well which is scheduled to take place in the first half of 2025. The Belinda well is the 5th well in Serica’s Triton area drilling campaign.
