30 May 23	Italy: Prospex provides Selva field development update Prospex Energy reports that Po Valley, operator of the Selva gas field, has recovered the €757,000 performance bond previously deposited with the Italian national Transmission System Operator SNAM. The return of the bond follows the completion of the SNAM pipeline tie in connection, Gas Sales Agreement and transportation arrangements. First gas from the Podere Maiar - 1 well in the Selva field is contingent upon final Ministry approval.

This new acquisition is due to commence in June 2023.
30 May 23	Malaysia: PGS expands MultiClient coverage in the Sarawak North Luconia Province PGS, together with JV consortium partners TGS and SLB have secured pre-funding to expand MultiClient 3D coverage in the prospective Sarawak Basin offshore Malaysia. The survey will cover approx. 6,800 sq kms and the Ramform Sovereign is scheduled to commence acquisition in June 2023 and complete in August.
30 May 23	Canada: ConocoPhillips to purchase remaining 50% interest in Surmont from TotalEnergies ConocoPhillips is exercising its preemption right to purchase the remaining 50% interest in Surmont from TotalEnergies EP Canada for approx. $3 billion (CAD$4 billion), subject to customary adjustments, as well as contingent payments of up to approx. $325 million (CAD$440 million). ConocoPhillips currently holds a 50% interest as operator of Surmont and will own 100% upon closing.

29 May 23	Germany: RWE strengthens its position in the German offshore wind market by becoming sole owner of 1.6-GW Nordseecluster RWE is strengthening its position in the German offshore market. The company has become the sole owner of a 1.6-gigawatt (GW) cluster of offshore wind farms in the German North Sea. The Nordseecluster, consisting of four sites located north of the island of Juist, was formerly co-developed with Canadian company Northland Power, which has now sold its 49% shareholding in the cluster to RWE.

29 May 23	Nigeria: TotalEnergies renews the OML 130 deep offshore license TotalEnergies, operator of OML 130 offshore Nigeria, has announced the renewal of the production license on the block for 20 years. Located 150 kms off the Nigerian coast, the OML 130 block contains the prolific Akpo and Egina fields which came into production in 2009 and 2018 respectively.
29 May 23	UK: Westwood Insight - The UK’s 1st Carbon Storage Licence Round On 18 May 2023, the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) announced the preliminary results of the UK’s 1st Carbon Storage Licensing Round with the offer of awards for 20 carbon storage licences to 12 companies. Westwood has reviewed each of the licences offered to identify the potential storage targets in depleted hydrocarbon reservoirs and saline aquifers.

Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) issued its warning after reports in The Sunday Times that 'Sir Keir Starmer will announce plans to block all new North Sea oil and gas developments.'

Acquisition further strengthens Ørsted’s offshore wind energy position in the US Northeast.
26 May 23	India: Cairn Oil & Gas gross Reserves plus Resources exceeds 1.1 billion barrels of oil equivalent Cairn Oil & Gas, India's largest private oil and gas exploration and production Company, and a unit of Vedanta Group, has announced that its Reserves and Resources portfolio has crossed 1.1 Bboe. The Company plans to drill up to 20 exploration wells in the next two years targeting approx. 500 MMboe gross unrisked Prospective Resources.

Munin is an unmanned production platform in the northern part of the Yggdrasil area in the North Sea. Aibel is delivering the topsides.
