01 Jun 23	Turkey: Trillion Energy’s Bayhanli-2 gas well enters production Trillion Energy has announced test results for the Bayhanli-2 natural gas well at the SASB gas field, offshore Turkey. Eight intervals of gas pay with a true thickness of about 21 metres were perforated and tested and are now producing gas to the sales pipeline. The well is expected to be produced with initial flow rates at between 8 and 9MMcf/d.

The Buzios oil field is located in the Santos Basin, offshore Brazil. It is the largest deep-water pre-salt oil field in the world, with a daily production of about 600,000 barrels at present. Buzios5 is the fifth phase of oil field development.

01 Jun 23	GoM: Helix Energy Solutions awarded significant full-field decommissioning contract in U.S. Gulf of Mexico Shelf Helix Energy Solutions has announced that its Louisiana-based subsidiary Helix Alliance has been awarded a 39-well decommissioning contract in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico shelf. The project is expected to commence in mid-2023. The scope of work includes the plug and abandonment of 39 wells, 15 pipelines and seven structures.

The well, which was drilled about 3 kms west of the Troll field in the North Sea, failed to encounter hydrocarbons and has been permanently plugged and abandoned.
