Brazil: With Petrobras technology, Riograndense Refinery is the first to produce fuels with cellulosic content in Brazil
The Riograndense Refinery successfully carried out a co-processing test of 5% biomass pyrolysis oil or bio-oil (non-food biomass raw material) with mineral filler. As a result, the refinery, located in Rio Grande (RS) and in which Petrobras, Ultra and Braskem have equity interests, became the first in the country capable of producing fuels with cellulosic content.

Botswana: Scatec starts commercial operation of solar power plant in Botswana

Germany: TotalEnergies and RWE join forces on green hydrogen to decarbonize the Leuna refinery
In line with its 2030 ambition to decarbonize the hydrogen used in its European refineries, TotalEnergies has signed an agreement with the German developer RWE to supply 30,000 tons a year of green hydrogen to the German Leuna refinery for fifteen years, beginning in 2030.

The T-4 Capacity Market auction has completed for delivery in 2028/29. RWE has secured Agreements for all but one of the Capacity Market Units (CMUs) that were entered into the auction. This means RWE has 6,444MW (derated) of capacity agreements for the 2028/29 delivery year.
