Norway: Neptune Energy drills oil discovery near the Snorre field in the North Sea - 34/4-15 S and 34/4-15 A
Neptune Energy Norge, operator PL 882, has completed the drilling of wildcat well 34/4-15 S and appraisal well 34/4-15 A (Dugong well). The wells were drilled about 10 kms northwest of the Snorre field. Oil was encountered in both the primary Middle Jurassic Rannoch Formation and the secondary Late Jurassic Intra Draupne Formation sandstone. The discovery will be considered for tie-in to nearby infrastructure.

Norway: Spirit Energy drills dry well near the Ivar Aasen field in the North Sea - 16/1-33 S
Spirit Energy Norway, operator of production licence PL 780, is in the process of concluding the drilling of wildcat well 16/1-33 S. The well, which was drilled about 5 kms north of the Ivar Aasen field in the central part of the North Sea, will be permanently plugged and abandoned as a dry hole.

BP announces second quarter 2020 results
BP has announced its second quarter 2020 results. Underlying replacement cost loss for the quarter was $6.7 billion, compared with a profit of $2.8 billion for the same period a year earlier. A dividend of 5.25 cents per share was announced for the quarter, compared to 10.5 cents per share for the previous quarter.

Chevron announces second quarter 2020 results
Chevron has reported a loss of $8.3 billion (adjusted loss of $3.0 billion) for second quarter 2020, compared with earnings of $4.3 billion in second quarter 2019. Included in the current quarter were non-cash net charges of $5.2 billion and a $310 million asset sale gain.

Jamaica: United Oil & Gas acquires Tullow's interest in the Walton Morant licence offshore Jamaica
AIM-listed United Oil & Gas has received approval from the Jamaican Government to take forward the Walton Morant Licence, Jamaica, on a 100% operated basis, with the assignment of Tullow's 80% equity. A work programme is underway to further de-risk the Colibri prospect and other targets ahead of a drill decision and a farm-out process is ongoing.

Nigeria: San Leon acquires 10 per cent interest in new Nigerian Oil Export System
San Leon Energy is investing US$15 million in Energy Link Infrastructure (Malta) Limited ('ELI'), the company which owns the Alternative Crude Oil Evacuation System ('ACOES') project. As previously announced, the ACOES is being constructed to provide a dedicated oil export route from San Leon's OML 18 asset in Nigeria.
