Australia: Vintage Energy to commence fracture stimulation at Vali-1 ST1 in the Cooper Basin
Vintage Energy has advised that the fracture stimulation of the Vali-1 ST1 well in ATP 2021 in the Cooper Basin, which is to be followed by flow testing, is expected to commence on 12 July 2020.

US: BP completes sale of upstream Alaska business to Hilcorp
bp has completed the sale of its upstream Alaska business to Hilcorp and operations of the Prudhoe Bay oil field have been transferred to Hilcorp. The upstream assets comprise the vast majority of the deal value. In August 2019 bp announced it would exit Alaska, selling its business to Hilcorp for a total consideration of $5.6 billion.

Reconnaissance Energy Africa (ReconAfrica) has completed a comprehensive subsurface evaluation delineating large scale, prospective conventional hydrocarbon bearing structures, throughout the entire Kavango Basin. The primary objective of ReconAfrica‘s initial three well drilling program, scheduled for Q4 of 2020, is to confirm a thick, active, petroleum system throughout the deep Kavango basin.

Turkey: Trillion Energy announces Derecik Zagros Basin oil property evaluation
Trillion Energy reports that the evaluation of the Zagros Basin Derecik Exploration Licenses in the Hakkari area of Turkey is complete and yielded promising results. Two drill ready conventional oil prospects have been identified which are expected to contain analogous reservoirs as found in the Shaikan field in Iraq, located 90 km south of the locations.

Norway: Spirit Energy drills dry well near the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea - 7321/8-2 S
Spirit Energy Norway, operator of production licence PL 719, has concluded the drilling of wildcat well 7321/8-2 S. The well, which was drilled about 110 kms north of the Johan Castberg field, failed to encounter hydrocarbons and has been permanently plugged and abandoned.
