Denmark: Orsted awarded contract – will capture and store 430,000 tonnes of biogenic CO2 The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has awarded Ørsted a 20-year contract for its carbon capture and storage (CCS) project ‘Ørsted Kalundborg Hub’. The project entails that Ørsted will establish carbon capture at its wood chip-fired Asnæs Power Station in Kalundborg in western Zealand and at the Avedøre Power Station’s straw-fired boiler in the Greater Copenhagen area. |

Denmark: Aker Carbon Capture awarded test campaign and study for Fortum Waste Solutions in Denmark Aker Carbon Capture has been awarded a test campaign and feasibility study for Fortum Waste Solutions' facility in Nyborg, Denmark. Fortum's waste incineration plant is specialized in the safe destruction of hazardous waste and turning it into energy. The planned capture capacity will be around 170,000 tonnes CO2/year. |

Denmark: Cadeler is back on home ground and ready to install offshore wind turbines at the Aflandshage wind farm in Denmark Cadeler has signed a contract with Siemens Gamesa to install 26 wind turbines at the Aflandshage offshore wind farm south of Copenhagen in 2026. The gravity based foundations will be placed on the seabed surrounded by large stones to create an artificial stone reef that can foster local biodiversity and marine life. |

Denmark: BlueNord announces strategic partnership with Semco Maritime and submission of a license application in the Danish North Sea Norwegian Energy Company, to be renamed BlueNord, has entered into a strategic partnership with Semco Maritime. In addition, BlueNord has submitted a licence application for acreage containing the gas discovery Elly-Luke in the Danish part of the North Sea, and as such will participate in the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities' upcoming mini-round of licencing. |
