Sweden/Denmark: Öresundskraft and INEOS led Project Greensand signs agreement to store 210,000 tonnes of CO2 per year from Sweden in Denmark Öresundskraft Kraft & Värme AB and INEOS on behalf of Project Greensand have signed an agreement to investigate the opportunity to store up to 210,000 tonnes of CO2 annually from Sweden in Denmark. The captured carbon dioxide is planned for safe and permanent storage in Greensand storage facility located in the Danish part of the North Sea, with the first volumes expected to be stored from 2028. |

Denmark: Danish Government awards Norne Thorning Storage the License to explore the possibility of CO2 storage in Jutland Norne Thorning Storage, a Fidelis New Energy company, has been awarded the Exploration License for the Thorning structure by the Danish Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities. Norne will soon commence its exploration work program to gather the necessary information about the structure to thoroughly evaluate and confirm its suitability for safe and permanent CO2 storage. |
