Country profile
Once the seat of Viking raiders and later a major north European power, Denmark has evolved into a modern, prosperous nation that is participating in the general political and economic integration of Europe. It joined NATO in 1949 and the EEC (now the EU) in 1973. However, the country has opted out of certain elements of the European Union's Maastricht Treaty, including the European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), European defense cooperation, and issues concerning certain justice and home affairs.

Denmark: BlueNord announces preliminary production for June 2026 BlueNord has announced its preliminary production figures for July 2026. In July 2026, preliminary production was 42.7 mboepd net to BlueNord. The Tyra hub contributed 25.4 mboepd and the base assets, the Dan, Gorm and Halfdan hubs, contributed 17.3 mboepd and in line with Q3 2026 production guidance of 25-30 mboepd for Tyra and 17-19 mboepd for the base assets. |

Denmark: Nobian collaborates with Airengy to explore compressed air energy storage in salt caverns Nobian and energy technology company Airengy have started a collaboration to explore and assess the potential and feasibility of long-duration compressed air energy storage in Nobian-operated salt cavern in Denmark. The collaboration will focus on evaluating Airengy’s compressed air energy storage technology ('AirBattery'), which will store surplus renewable electricity as compressed air in an underground cavern, to be released for power generation when needed. |
